Preferred Health Care Network

Saint Mary's Preferred Health Care Network is a preferred provider organization (PPO). This product is a panel of providers who have agreed to discounted fees when contracting with Saint Mary's Preferred. Insurance carriers, third-party administrators and self-insured employer groups develop health benefits to use Saint Mary's Preferred's network. They have access to contractual arrangements and provider discounts. Saint Mary's Preferred has physicians, hospitals and ancillary providers under contract and offers claims repricing, utilization management and large case management services.

• Saint Mary's Preferred Health Insurance Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saint Mary's, which, in turn, is owned by the Sisters of Saint Dominic. Saint Mary's Preferred Health Insurance Company is incorporated in the state of Nevada.



• Preferred Health Care Network (PHCN) was acquired in 1993. Founded in 1983, PHCN's statewide network provides access to over 4,000 physicians, 21 hospitals and over 200 ancillary facilities throughout Nevada and border communities in California and Arizona.



• Saint Mary's Health Plans has offered utilization management services since 1992. In addition to serving the needs of our HealthFirst HMO members, the services of our utilization management department are contracted to health insurance carriers, third party administrators and direct contract self-funded clients.



• Preferred Health Care Network (PHCN) has provided PPO services statewide in Nevada since 1983 and is a part of Saint Mary's. PHCN is proud to be a partner to Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center, one of Modern Healthcare's top 100 hospitals in the country and recently voted the number one hospital in Nevada in a poll conducted by the Nevada Business Journal, a statewide, monthly business magazine.
